Job Type: RegularTime Type: Full timeWork Shift: Rotating (United States of America)FLSA Status: Non-ExemptWhen you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.LEAD ED TECHJob Description:Duties/Responsibilities:Cleans, stocks and readies the Emergency Department for care of patientsDetermines, in conjunction with Materials Management staff, ED Nursing Leadership, MD's and ED Team Leaders, the equipment and supply needs for the Emergency DepartmentMaintains appropriate par levels in order to avoid overstocking and/or shortagesReceives/restocks special order supplies to appropriate locations, rotating items to eliminate outdatingAssists in the standardization of equipment/products and the deletion of equipment/products that are no longer usedAssists in arranging in-services and training for all equipment/productsCollaborates with CSR to ensure instrumentation is availableMaintains the suture/staple cart and all specialty cartsTransports patients within the departments and to inter-departmental locations as neededPerforms clinical functions such as vital signs, EKG's, suture set-up, assist in wound cleaning as directed, utilize sterile technique when necessary, obtain lab specimens such as urine and serum, safety sit, and other clinical tasks as assignedApply splints and immobilizers to injured extremities as directedCarries out tasks as directed by physicians, nursing leadership and registered nursesIt is understood that this is a summary of key job functions and does not include every detail of the job that may reasonably be required. Education/Experience Required:Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or EMT certification requiredCurrent Emergency Medicine experience requiredPreference given to those who hold a Paramedic licenseWritten and verbal English skills at 12th grade levelRegistration/Certification:CPR certification (may be obtained within 2 weeks of hire)EMT, CNA, MA certificationPhysical/Environmental RequirementsThis job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use.
