East Coast Cannabis is seeking a motivated and hard-working Edibles Prep Cook to join our Kitchen Manufacturing Team in Eliot, Maine. This is an entry-level position with room for growth for dedicated and reliable employees. The role is both demanding and rewarding, no prior cannabis experience is required, though a minimum of 2 years in the restaurant industry is preferred.The Edibles Prep Cook is responsible for assisting with the manufacturing of edible cannabis products, preparing ingredients, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, maintaining brand and safety standards, and supporting the goals of the Kitchen Manager. This position operates within the Maine Adult Use Cannabis Program and requires maintaining a valid Individual Identification Card (IIC) issued by the Office of Cannabis Policy.Key ResponsibilitiesFollow Kitchen Manager’s instructions for manufacturing all edible, topical, and liquid-infused productsAssist in preparing and measuring ingredients accuratelyLearn and execute production processes for THC-infused productsManage multiple batches and maintain workflow throughout the dayRemove finished products from moldsClean and sanitize all tools, dishes, and equipment after useMaintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environmentAssist with inventory tasks such as stock checks and supply trackingSupport team members and leadership as neededAdhere to all Maine cannabis regulations and East Coast Cannabis safety and quality standardsSalary$15 USD per hourRequired SkillsMust be a minimum of 21 years of ageBasic math skillsAdapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environmentOperates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information.Positive, team-oriented, and dependableStrong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentHigh School DiplomaMinimum of 2 years’ kitchen or food production experience preferredCannabis industry experience a plusProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferredServSafe certification (or ability to obtain one)Desired SkillsExperience in regulated cannabis kitchen or production environmentKitchen or food production experienceAbout East Coast CannabisEast Coast Cannabis boasts two large state-of-the-art cultivation facilities where we nourish and craft the best cannabis cultivars.
