The Strategic Director – Business, Finance & Operations reports to the Principal on operational matters and the Board on governance and strategic matters. A member of the College Executive Team, the Director provides pivotal strategic and operational leadership across finance, infrastructure, and resource management and is also the Board Company Secretary.

This strategic role is critical in driving Salesian College Sunbury’s ambitious campus expansion towards 2040, managing significant financial portfolios, and overseeing innovative infrastructure development aligned with the Master Plan. The successful candidate will ensure financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, effective stakeholder engagement, and robust governance, while deeply embracing the Salesian values of reason, religion, and loving kindness.

The Successful Candidate Will DemonstrateExceptional strategic financial leadership and governance skillsProven capability managing significant capital projects and infrastructureHigh-level stakeholder management and influencing expertiseExperience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex and time sensitive settingsCommitment to fostering inclusive, positive organisational cultureAlignment with and support for Catholic education and Salesian valuesOffered as a five-year executive contract with a negotiable commencement date (preferably asap), applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be a full CA/CPA member.

Additionally, current registration as a Company Secretary (or willingness to undertake registration) is preferable and further Tertiary qualifications (such as MBA) or accreditation as an AICD member will be advantageous.
