Job DescriptionWe are seeking an organized and efficient Purchase Assistant to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Purchase Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our procurement department, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining strong relationships with vendors.
Assist in the procurement process by preparing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate recordsCommunicate with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and resolve any discrepanciesMonitor inventory levels and initiate reorder processes when necessaryCollaborate with internal departments to gather and process purchase requisitionsMaintain and update vendor information in the company's databaseAssist in the evaluation and selection of suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery timePrepare and analyze purchasing reports to identify cost-saving opportunitiesSupport the development and implementation of purchasing policies and proceduresAssist in contract management and ensure compliance with company policies and regulationsPerform data entry and file management tasks related to purchasing activitiesQualificationsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skillsExperience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentExceptional time management and organizational skillsBasic math and analytical skills for cost analysis and reporting1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related fieldBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)Knowledge of purchasing processes and best practicesFamiliarity with supplier management and vendor relationshipsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentStrong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to challenges
