Job Description

Risk Assessment and Inspection:1. Routinely conduct EHS risk assessments/inspections incorporating OHS and ESAP approaches. Communicate/report items of concerns and nonconformance (NC) items to management team.2. Regularly inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations such as Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) and industry standards.3. Identify, assess and manage all environment risks associated with our operations and processes to prevent pollution, reduce waste, control emissions and use energy efficiently. Preventive and Corrective Action:4. Develop corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) with relevant person in charge taking suggestions from management team to solve NC items to prevent and mitigate identified EHS risks. 5. Prevent and eliminate injury and illness and assist companies to comply with safety procedure. 6. Foster an environment that supports an engaged safety and sustainability culture in the company. This includes monitoring and reporting poor implementation of EHS by the employees/workers.Policy and Procedure Development & Implementation:7. Coordinate the development of EHS management systems including policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), audit checklists, projects and activities in the factory.8. Deliver orientation and training of the EHS related policies & SOPs to employees, contractors & visitors.9. Take part in staff orientation and training to ensure all employees to have a good understanding of Amru’s EHS system and is able to work/behave in accordance with EHS policies.10. Assist to develop indicators to monitor the effective implementation of SOPs and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Good International Industry Practices (GIIP). Audit Preparation:11. Review audit checklist and document required to prepare for relevant EHS audits e.g., BSCI, Sedex/Smeta, ISO45001, ISO9001, etc.12. Ensure proper record of relevant EHS implementation records including but not limited to meeting minutes, training records, signed agreements and photos, etc. to effectively prepare for audits.Others:13. Establish and maintain appropriate relationships with external stakeholders, including certified bodies, communities, state and local regulatory agencies.14. Maintain good working relationships with insurers and other relevant authorities to ensure that the company’s interests are safeguarded and a safety, healthy working environment is maintained. 15. Support in monthly ESG data collection to effectively capture the factory sustainability practices toward the sustainable development goals (SDGs). Perform other tasks as assigned by management from time to time.
