We are strengthening our international team and have recently won the contract to build the new section of the E18-E39 motorway in Kristiansand, Norway.
Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Génie Civil, has won the design-build contract awarded by Statens Vegvesen, a company owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport, to build the new section of the E18-E39 urban motorway between Gartnerløkka and Kolsdalen in Kristiansand, Norway, at a cost of more than €234 million (NOK 2,755 million). The aim of the contract is to increase the capacity of the main interchange providing access to the city centre and port activities of the country's 6th largest city. It involves the construction of a 1.
4 km 2x2 lane motorway in a dense urban area, including the construction of 12 structures, the reconstruction of 1. 5 km of track, as well as the redevelopment of the existing ferry terminal and the installation of electrical and traffic engineering equipment. YOUR MAIN TASKSAs Laboratory Officer M/F, you will supervise all in-house materials testing activities for the project, in coordination with the Quality team and the construction teams. You will ensure full compliance with contract specifications and Norwegian (NPRA) standards. Your main responsibilities will include:
Organising the laboratory’s daily activities and scheduling of testsSupervising the Laboratory Technician and ensuring all testing is carried out according to proceduresEnsuring the proper calibration, maintenance and cleanliness of laboratory equipmentOverseeing in-situ and laboratory testing for soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, etc. Validating test results and reports, ensuring compliance with standardsCoordinating internal and external sampling and testing when neededManaging laboratory documentation and data traceabilityReporting test anomalies or non-conformities to the Quality ManagerSupporting the preparation of quality documentation for handover to the clientYou will report directly to the Quality Manager.
