The EIU is the global standard in providing quality, actionable intelligence to the public and private sector, assessing issues that impact the marketplace for over 200 countries. We are looking to recruit a senior analyst to help lead our analytical coverage and forecasting of the region.In The Role You Would Be Expected ToTo be an intellectual leader within the regional team, providing leading analysis and insight on some of the major countries in that regionShow a strong sense of editorial judgement and ensure required quality standards for EIU products and services are met at all timesPromote our work on this topic within TEG and externally, and liaise directly with external clients and media organisations on behalf of The EIUTo contribute to the commercial success of the EIU business via a focus on value-creation for clientsProvide strategic insight and input to help develop the EIU’s products and servicesTo work collaboratively with other senior EIU staff members to support new business development and implement divisional strategyImplement training and onboarding strategies to enhance skills across the teamWork with both analysts and research analysts to mentor them and help them develop their macroeconomic and forecasting skillsManage External ContributorsBe responsible for finding and commissioning suitable external contributors to provide additional analysis of political and economic events within the countries of responsibilityTo Succeed In The Role You Must HaveRelevant experience in senior positions and/or demonstrable experienceA thorough understanding of macroeconomic data and forecasting techniquesIn-depth regional knowledge of politics, economics, and policyVery strong written and oral communication skillsA Master degree in relevant subject is preferableRelevant language skills (Arabic) an advantageStrong knowledge in MS Office especially Excel, Access and PowerpointAI usage for your applicationWe are an innovative organisation that encourages the use of technology.
