Job Title: Facility Management Mechanical Engineer Location: Abu Dhabi Job Summary: The Facility Management Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and performance of mechanical systems within the facility. This includes HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services. The engineer ensures all systems run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards while supporting energy conservation and sustainability initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Oversee operation and maintenance of mechanical systems (HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, compressors, etc. ). Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance. Diagnose mechanical faults and coordinate necessary repairs or upgrades.
Monitor and manage building management systems (BMS) for efficiency and control. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and standards. Prepare technical reports, maintenance schedules, and performance analyses. Liaise with contractors, vendors, and service providers for planned and corrective maintenance. Support energy-saving initiatives and contribute to facility sustainability goals. Respond to facility emergencies and troubleshoot urgent mechanical issues. Assist in planning and execution of facility renovations or system upgrades. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Professional certification or license (e. g. , PE, CEng) is a plus.
Minimum [X] years of experience in facility or building services engineering. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire systems, and building codes. Familiarity with BMS and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
