Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to support a landmark industrial development in the Port of Antwerp. This multi-billion euro initiative is one of the most significant petrochemical investments in Europe in recent decades, focused on cutting-edge technologies and sustainability.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and coordinate E&I engineering activities across various phases of construction and commissioning.Interface with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, and process engineering to ensure seamless integration of electrical and instrumentation systems.Review and validate contractor designs, ensuring compliance with European standards and site-specific specifications.Support FAT/SAT procedures, loop checks, and commissioning of high-voltage and low-voltage systems, control systems, and instrumentation.Ensure safety and quality standards are upheld throughout all phases of the project.Provide technical input during troubleshooting and resolution of site issues.Requirements:Proven experience in large-scale petrochemical or industrial projects, ideally within the Antwerp region.Strong knowledge of European electrical standards and instrumentation practices.Ability to work independently and liaise effectively with contractors and client representatives.Fluent in English; Dutch or German is a plus.Valid EU work permit or freelance registration.
