JOB LISTINGElectrical CAD DesignerRemote/FlexibleAbout Halker:Halker Consulting is a nationwide provider of multi-disciplined Engineering, Design, Project Management, Procurement and Field Services for a wide variety of Energy Industry sectors.The company specializes in Oil and Gas surface facilities, Power infrastructure, Environmental remediation and design, Automation and Digital Solutions, and federal, state, and local regulatory compliance.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Provide development/design/drafting of CAD-based deliverables, predominately for O&G and Power Delivery projects.Assist engineers in development and modification of technical drawings and construction documents.Electrical deliverables for O&G include but are not limited to one-line diagrams, area classification, grounding, lightning protection, cable tray and conduit plans, lighting design, heat trace plans, motor schematics, and electrical installation details.Other deliverables in the power delivery space include one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, electrical schematics, communication diagrams, panel layouts, general arrangements, section views, connection details, and grounding systems.Instrumentation deliverables include but are not limited to network architecture diagrams, instrument location plans, control system panel design and wiring, junction box layout and wiring, and instrumentation details.Perform work which involves conventional design practices including complex features such as conflicting design requirements, code compliance, selection materials, and cross-discipline coordination requirements.Use mathematical modeling to evaluate new developments and innovations and determine their cost effectiveness.Modify designs and provide self-checks and peer checks that ensure standards are adhered to.As-builts of existing facilities and electrical distribution systems.Able to manage budgets and schedules effectively to achieve project goals.Maintain flexibility to work outside of comfort zone and stretch to new tasks.
