Electrical Design Engineer Location: Dunleer, County Louth, IrelandDuration – Permanent We are looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Dunleer. In this role, you will design, develop, and support the production of electrical systems for industrial tanks and modular units, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and efficient solutions.Key Responsibilities:Design electrical circuits, layouts, and schematics according to project and customer requirements.Create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, technical calculations, and specifications.Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with quality standards.Work closely with customers to confirm requirements are met in the final designs.Ensure all designs comply with relevant national and international electrical codes and standards.Collect and organize documentation from suppliers, contractors, and internal teams for project reports and validations.Review and approve technical documents from vendors or contractors, such as FATs, SATs, commissioning reports, and design changes.Support production teams with technical guidance to ensure installations meet design and safety standards.Perform electrical design calculations to verify system performance and compliance.Qualifications & Skills:Honours degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.3–5 years of experience in electrical design within a commercial or industrial setting.Experience with EPlan or similar electrical design software is preferred.Knowledge of CAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or SAP is a plus.Strong commercial awareness with a practical, proactive, and flexible approach.Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.Willingness to travel to site locations when required.
