Electrical Engineer - Technical Office

Job Title: Technical Electrical EngineerLocation: Alexandria, EgyptReports To: Supervisor - Infra Engineering Job Summary:The Technical Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance with standards. This role involves technical support for ongoing projects, preparing electrical designs, reviewing shop drawings, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, and ensuring smooth project execution.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop electrical systems, layouts, and schematics for construction and industrial projects.Review and approve electrical shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.Conduct load calculations, cable sizing, and lighting & power distribution design.Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), specifications, and project documentation.Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and project requirements.Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and other departments for seamless project integration.Perform site inspections and resolve any technical issues during execution.Participate in value engineering to optimize design and cost.Maintain documentation and provide technical reports to management.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical design and site supervision (preferably in construction or MEP industry).Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, AutoCAD, and relevant software (e.g., ETAP, Revit).Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and coordination abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Key Competencies:Technical expertise in electrical design and implementationAttention to detail and quality controlTeam collaboration and communicationStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of health and safety standards
