Job DescriptionElectrical Engineer: Responsible for performing electrical engineering analysis, design, and detailing for a variety of commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. Duties and responsibilities of the position include: Scope and write proposals for electrical projects. Design electrical systems for military and commercial projectsDesign medium and low voltage service and distribution systems, emergency generator systems, 2-way communication systems, power system studies, lightning protection systems, and power for residential, commercial, light industrial facilities.

Prepare power system studies including coordination studies, arc flash analysis, and short circuit studies. Oversee the production of design drawings utilizing CAD and Revit. This includes oversight of drafting/design staff productivity and quality control processes. Plans and conducts electrical work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of electrical work as part of projects of varying sizes. Manage and participate in multiple projects simultaneously and profitably. Ability to lead a small team on telecommunication design projects.

Guide the technical work done by others and assume responsibility for a quality outcome. Contribute to strategic pursuit of projects and development of clients. Prepare technical and non-technical presentations to office staff and clients. QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: A bachelor’s degree (U. S. or foreign degree equivalent) in electrical engineering or a closely related field. Experience: Five years of experience in an electrical engineering occupationSKILLS/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Experience must include the following:

Five years of experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and BluebeamFive years of experience with commercial power and low voltage systems designFive years of experience and knowledge of UFC and UFGS design requirements for military projectsExperience may be gained concurrently. Basic pay is ninety two thousand dollars to one hundred five thousand dollars annually for full-time employment and standard company benefits.
