Electrical Engineer (Energy Project)

Key Responsibilities:Develop and review electrical design packages for solar PV plants, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and associated transmission lines.Develop and review procurement specifications for HV/MV/LV equipment, inverters, BESS system, protection, SCADA and control systems.Draft site layout, general arrangement, SLD, elevation, and required drawings as well as cable schedule.Engage BOP contractors, integrators, suppliers, consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders for project development and constructions.Support EPC tender/procurement process and prepare relevant documentation.Interface with TNSP/DNSP and AEMO for technical discussions.Travel to remote sites for project inspection and surveys.Required Skills & Experience:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.2–5 years’ experience in either HV electrical design, grid connection, and project delivery for large-scale renewable projects.Proficiency with AUTOCAD and PVSYST.Demonstrated experience preparing design for R0 GPS studies or detail design IFC package.Understanding of HV substations (33–330kV), transmission line design and protection systems.Confident liaising with NSPs, AEMO, EPCs, OEMs.Familiarity with EPC contracts and construction technical support.Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or working towards preferred.Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
