Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to support the design, installation, and commissioning of critical electrical systems on large-scale data centre projects. The successful candidate will work closely with construction, QA/QC, commissioning, and client teams to ensure electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with the stringent reliability and uptime requirements of mission-critical facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Review electrical drawings, technical submittals, method statements, and ITPs to ensure accuracy and constructability.Provide engineering support to site teams during installation of MV/LV distribution systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, busbar systems, grounding, lighting, fire alarm, and associated controls.Monitor installation progress and support resolution of technical queries, design clarifications, and interdisciplinary interfaces.Conduct inspections and support quality checks to ensure right-first-time delivery and adherence to project QA/QC processes.Assist in planning and executing FATs, SATs, functional tests, and integrated systems testing for critical electrical systems.Collaborate with commissioning teams to ensure systems are energised, tested, and handed over in a controlled and safe manner.Maintain accurate records, technical documentation, and engineering reports to support project control and client turnover documentation.Ensure all electrical works are performed in line with site safety rules, method statements, and permit-to-work procedures.Support continuous improvement by identifying design and installation efficiencies and feeding lessons learned back into the project.Skills & ExperienceDegree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.Experience working on data centre, industrial, pharmaceutical, or other mission-critical MEP projects.Strong understanding of MV/LV electrical distribution, power quality, backup power systems, and electrical safety principles.Familiarity with commissioning workflows and documentation requirements for critical facilities.Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Proficiency with engineering software, digital documentation tools, and tracking systems is an advantage.Personal AttributesDetail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and technical excellence.Proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Team-focused with strong collaboration and coordination skills.Confident, professional, and solutions-driven when facing challenges onsite.
