Review and Analyze Project Documentation - Examine bid packages, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and scope clarity - Identify discrepancies and prepare RFIs (Requests for Information) - Maintain an organized log of addenda and clarifications 2. Perform Detailed Quantity Take-Offs and Cost Estimations - Use estimating software and NEC standards to prepare accurate labor, material, and equipment costs - Ensure estimates align with NECA labor units and pricing standards - Track historical cost data to continuously improve accuracy 3. Develop and Refine Electrical Designs - Create and update one-line diagrams, load calculations, and circuiting layouts - Collaborate with project managers and engineers for constructability and compliance - Provide innovative yet practical design solutions that meet client requirements 4. Coordinate and Communicate with Stakeholders - Communicate daily with project managers, field supervisors, vendors, and clients regarding scope, design, and pricing - Draft clear and professional correspondence (RFIs, clarifications, proposal notes) - Support client presentations with organized drawings and structured estimates 5. Maintain Estimating and Design Records - Keep bid tracking logs, drawing files, and estimate databases up to date - Record revisions and maintain version control - Prepare internal progress reports and track estimate accuracy against actual job costs Software Used: - Vision Info Soft Electrical Bid Manager (Electrical Estimating Software for Electrical Estimators & Bids)
