Electrical Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs and tender submissions for electrical projects in accordance with client requirements and company standards.Review tender documents, drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work, materials and resource requirements.Perform quantity take-offs, rate analysis and pricing for electrical works, including LV, MV and HV distribution systems.Coordinate with engineering, procurement and project teams to obtain necessary technical and commercial inputs for bid preparation.Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure compliance with technical and budgetary requirements.Apply Industrial Electrical Standards such as IEC, BS, and IEEE in all estimation and design review processes.Maintain a thorough understanding of electrical materials, brands and specifications, ensuring cost-effective and technically compliant selections.Support tendering processes through value engineering, risk assessment and cost optimisation initiatives.Develop and maintain a cost database of materials, labour and supplier information to enhance accuracy in future estimates.Provide technical and cost-related inputs to management for tender evaluation and strategic decision-making.Qualifications:Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical estimation and tendering within the construction or MEP industry.Strong understanding of electrical systems, including Low Voltage (LV), Medium Voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) distribution networks.Sound knowledge of Industrial Electrical Standards (IEC, BS, IEEE, etc.) and their practical application in project estimation.Familiarity with electrical supplies, brands and material specifications relevant to industrial and commercial installations.Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD and estimation software such as Candy or similar tools.Excellent analytical and technical evaluation skills with strong attention to detail.
