We’re proud of brands, like COLORBOND ® steel that inspire and protect everything from hospitals to bridges and stadiums.The OpportunityOur Springhill - Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician in our Paint and Finishing Maintenance team based in Springhill - Port Kembla. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.The painting and finishing department at Springhill is the final process in the manufacture of COLORBOND®, where coils of steel are painted with our world leading Colorbond coating process and then packaged and despatched to our Australian & International customers.You will join a cross functional team that ensures equipment is maintained to the highest standards to meet our objectives for quality and reliability. In this critical role, you will be able to use your technical background and experience to deliver key outcomes, whilst ensuring your safety and that of your colleagues is a priority.What will you do?With your proven understanding of industrial electrical systems, in this role you will:follow the safe system of work and develop isolation instructions and job safety analysis for the required workprovide assessment and follow up of equipment issues impacting plant performanceperform equipment inspections as well as detailed planning and condition monitoring of equipmentperform safe, efficient and effective emergency repairsfault-find on electrical equipment including PLC’s, drives and instrumentation systemsperform equipment inspections, identify improvement opportunities and report on findingsMore About YouYou are driven by self-development, committed to our success, and have technical experience within an industrial, manufacturing environment.You Will Haveelectrical trade qualifications (ideally working towards the completion of a Diploma or willing to complete)current NSW Electrical Licenseexperience working with IBA tracing & PLC’shave a strong commitment to safetyexperience in fault finding and problem solvinginitiative in carrying out equipment repairsWhy BlueScopeAs We’re Creating Strength For The Future Through Our People, Products And Solutions, BlueScope Supports You To Build Your Expertise Within a Safe And Positive Team Environment.
