Join one of Europe’s leading data centre contractors who are seeking an Electrical Package Manager for a project in Helsinki. The data centre sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in construction and the need for its infrastructure will continue to grow for years to come. With the order book full for another 5+ years, there is excellent scope for a high-performing Electrical Package Manager to play a crucial part in this growth.The ideal candidate for this role will have experience, determination and be focused on delivering leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors, including data centre and pharmaceutical. In terms of experience, someone coming from a data centre background is advantageous however not a necessity.Responsibilities:Manage the electrical engineering aspects of data centre projects, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time, within scope, and aligned with quality standards.Provide accurate and timely reporting to ensure project deadlines and milestones are consistently met.Review and interpret design/IFC specifications and drawings to gain a full understanding of project scope and ensure alignment with execution plans.Oversee the coordination process to convert design information into fully detailed installation drawings, working closely with BIM personnel to ensure compliance with specifications and schedule priorities.Support the on-site installation team by managing quality control measures and ensuring all work meets relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.Evaluate subcontractor and supplier tender returns for technical compliance with the design intent and project requirements.Monitor the project schedule to ensure engineering and procurement activities align with construction timelines and avoid delays.Manage the technical submittal and approvals process, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with project specifications.Ensure that all electrical works are installed in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and the QA/QC plan.Manage subcontractors and ensure effective information flow to support work progress in line with the project schedule; participate in and document weekly coordination meetings.Drive innovation and identify opportunities to implement new engineering processes and technologies that improve project delivery and efficiency.Assist in preparing subcontract and supplier tender packages in collaboration with the project quantity surveyor (QS).Requirements:Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a project management role with a recognised electrical contractor.Data centre experience is highly desirable – understanding of the unique demands, technical specifications, and mission-critical nature of these environments.Strong organisational and project planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.Experience with project planning tools and understanding of CAD/BIM workflows.Strong understanding of electrical systems, commissioning processes, and MEP coordination within data centre environments.If this opportunity interests you, please send your CV to Meallagh on the email link provided and have a confidential chat.
