Job Description

Major FunctionsIn operational phase they will be responsible for all electrical planned and corrective maintenance on Khormor installations in accordance with both local and industry standards.Plans all corrective, and campaign electrical maintenance activities in order to facilitate related project work. Leads a team of skilled Electrical Technicians and manages interfaces with operations, engineering, to ensure that plant integrity and safe operations are maintained. Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.They shall undertake Low Voltage (LV) and medium Voltage (MV) switching in accordance with operational procedures.Managing all Electrical maintenance resources, including contractors, spare parts and contributing to maintenance budget developmentEnsuring maintenance KPI’s are achieved.Reporting on maintenance activities and leading RCFA’s as requiredEnsuring that team HSE KPIs’ are met and driving HSE PerformanceLeading continuous improvement in their discipline areaManaging obsolescence in their discipline areaThey shall be fully conversant with hazardous area classification and electrical material classes.This is a multi-tasking role to support the Production Operations team in field activities and they will be involved with Fault-Finding, Root Cause Analysis and repair of all Electrical equipment and systems.They shall provide input to creating and reviewing maintenance procedures, job plans and work instructions.Essential FunctionsWork Responsibilities and PlanningDirects all electrical maintenance activities at Khormor LPG recovery plant.Leads a team of skilled electrical technicians and act as interface between management and technical team.Conversant with ICSS control systems, telecommunication equipment, power generation, electrical switch gear, power monitoring systems.Leads ad-hoc teams of contract and vendor technicians for construction and maintenance work as required.Ensures that plant and equipment is maintained according to compliance and integrity standards in order to meet expected reliability and ‘uptime’ Key Performance Indicators.Liaises closely with Production Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams in activity planning, engineering change and cost control.Ensures that procedures for the safe execution of tasks are in place and adhered to (including Task Instructions, Permits-to Work, Task Risk Assessments, and Toolbox Talks).Ensures that all activities are accurately recorded in the maintenance management system, providing all necessary reports to the Operations support team.Assists in recruiting, mentoring, training, and appraising maintenance personnel.Introduces new maintenance systems and procedures which will improve the effectiveness of the maintenance functions.Functional Policies and GuidelinesDevelops maintenance policies and guidelines for the smooth, efficient and effective delivery of all operations.Ensures that the team have a safe place of work through compliance with and regular review of procedures (including Task Instructions, Permits-to-Work, Task Risk Assessments, and Toolbox Talks).Ensures compliance with Government Standards, Legislation and Regulatory requirements.Ensures compliance with Company Standards, Philosophies, Procedures and Guidelines.Acts as a Senior Authorised Electrical Person, Responsible for Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switching in accordance with operational proceduresConducts fault-finding and Root Cause Analysis on Electrical and related problems both independently and in liaison with vendor specialists.Manage all records of Proof Testing of Safety & Environmental Critical Equipment (SECE) to ensure that it is operating in compliance with its Performance Standard. Ensures that any failures are recorded and that remedial work is completed in a timely manner.Ensures that Plant and Equipment is maintained according to compliance and integrity standards to meet expected reliability and ‘uptime’ Key Performance Indicators.Ensures that all activities are fully and accurately recorded in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (SAP).Ensures that all Plant and Equipment changes are fully and accurately recorded in the CMMS.Ensures that all Maintenance Procedures are present, accurate and updated in the CMMS.Ensures that all spares information, including equipment and task BOMs are present, accurate and updated in the CMMS.Works with the Planning Team to prepare weekly, bi-weekly and monthly work and manpower planning and scheduling within the CMMS.Works with the Planning Team to prepare Work including Task Lists, spares requirements and support services within the CMMS.Works with the Planning Team and Discipline Supervisors to manage the Work BacklogCollects data related to equipment health. Proposes improvements to risk-based inspection and condition monitoring of equipment and supports the Reliability team to conduct and improve equipment reliability programs.Provides coaching and mentoring to trainee, junior and technician level personnel.Required Minimum Qualification & ExperienceElectrical Degree. Preferred candidate with MV switching certificate, COMPEX certificate, AEP certifiedAt least 12 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry. 5 years in a supervisory role.Be in the possession of necessary certification to operate MV and LV electrical switch gear and maintain Ex rated equipment.Experience with MV variable speed drives (Siemens) and MV motor (11kv) preferableFully experienced in working with safety management systems and a basic understanding of local safety management legislation.In-depth understanding of Oil & Gas production equipment, processes and utility systemsIn-depth experience with Electrical protection devices.In-depth experience in Power Generation and generator operationsIn-depth experience of LV and MV motors and controls, Generators up to 11kV, Step-up and step-down transformers preferred.In-depth experience in MV and LV switching and procedures and fully competent in applying MV and LV isolations.Excellent experience in a CMMS system, SAP preferred.Experience in Pre commissioning , commissioning and start up is an advantage for a candidate
