Role summaryBased at Pinewood Studios, our electricians are responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining electrical systems and fixtures in any of the Studios buildings and stages.The work is varied, and the successful candidate must have a working knowledge of 3 phase distribution system, AC plant and will be expected to carry out electrical installations complying with the requirements of the 18th Edition IEE wiring Regulations.Principle accountabilitiesAssemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power toolsDiagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problemCarry out electrical installations and upgrade company facilitiesInspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous and to ensure compliance with codesTest electrical systems and continuity of circuits, insulation resistance and suitable earthing arrangements and safety devices in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing meters to ensure compatibility and safety of systemSkills And ExperienceEssential criteria18th Edition Wiring Regulation Qualified.Suitable electrical competence qualification including relevant testing & inspection qualification.Proven electrician experience in a domestic, commercial and industrial settingWorking knowledge of 3 phase distribution system and AC plantComputer literacy is essential – Must be able to use PDA to record timesheets / job status (training provided on specific system) and read emailsSelf-motivated and effective time managerStrong team player and orientation towards teamworkExcellent attention to detailExcellent communication and confidence skillsOther informationRole location: Pinewood StudiosCompetitive starting salary and discretionary annual bonus of up to 10% of salary.25 days’ holiday as standard with the option to buy 5 additional days, plus English public holidays.Birthday leave, which gives employees an extra day annual leave to be used in the month of their birthdayPension scheme 5% employer contribution and 3% minimum employee contribution.Comprehensive private medical healthcare from Bupa, including cover for pre-existing conditions, dental and optical cover.Income Protection for yourself, up to 75% of salary.Life assurance of 4 x annual salary.£3.20 per day Pinewood canteen subsidy.Two days per year volunteering allowance for our local communities.Invest@Work Saving Account with Fidelity.Various other staff perks including but not limited to, gym and retail discounts, free film screenings and staff events.Our valuesTeamworkRespectIntegrityPioneeringPassionateCan-doClosing date for applications is 15th March 2026Pinewood Group is an equal opportunities employer.
