Job Description
Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperational DeliveryCarry out the electrical repair and maintenance of all building related issuesEnsure that all jobs are carried out in a safe and competent mannerClean-up work area on completion of a jobEnsure the workshop is kept clean and clear at all timesEnsure that all Work Orders are completed prior to submission to the Facilities ManagerProactively log any electrical maintenance issues you identify at the TFS HelpdeskTools are to be looked after and maintained in a good working conditionCarry out any duties as required and instructed by the Technical ManagerTo provide support with regard to reactive and proactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance on interior, exterior fabric, lighting, machinery and fittingsUndertake documented inspections, as notified by your ManagerUndertake proactive quality inspections of the site and log any issues identified with the TFC call centreUndertake planned preventative maintenance tasksUndertake proactive and reactive maintenance tasks and repairsCarry out inspections in relation to OHS Act requirements and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the OHS Act requirementsEscort and oversee sub-contractors where necessary and ensure all works are carried out in accordance with OHS Act requirementsEnsure all sub-contractors leave the area in a clean and tidy state when the work is completed and ensure the sub-contractors remove their rubbish and waste from site once the work is completedService Delivery ManagementEnsure performance requirements are met (SLA’s and performance management)Maintain an accurate record of all maintenance documentation, warranties, licencesEnsure the safety and maintenance of all assets and equipment.Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the management and staff.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Collaborate with suppliers, and contractors to ensure customer needs are met.Do minor repairs to all electrical equipment.Ensure the maintenance stores and stock rooms are clean at all timesConduct stock control and check stock levels as prescribed.Attend to associated electrical defect sand installationsBe on standby duties as and when requiredInspect the electrical and power tools on a monthly basis, document the inspection and file the paperwork in the site H&S fileCustomer FocusWork with teams to develop and maintain a customer-focused attitude toward activitiesInteract with clients to provide and process information in response to enquiries, concerns and requests about servicesWork with processes and procedures in such a way that operational efficiencies and performance are enhancedAttend to and resolve all client queries timeously or escalate when necessaryFollow up and follow through on all escalated queries timeouslyManage conflictReportingPrepare weekly/monthly reporting within set timeframes for submission to your Manager as requestedUpdate and maintain all relevant recordsCode Of ConductTake responsibility for one’s own performancePromote TFS’s & EY image and corporate citizenry through deliberate and co-ordinated activitiesAdhere to the TFS’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Management System’s Policies & Procedures as applicable to this positionEnsure TFS ethical values are adhered toSkills and CompetenciesKnowledge of electrical equipment, materials and suppliers used in facilities management.Have a good knowledge of machine tools, general maintenance.Negotiating skillsTime Management SkillsSupplier/Sub-Contractor managementExperience with electrical systems requiredExcellent skills with common hand and power toolsFamiliarity with building layouts and infrastructuresHospitality and customer centric focusEmotional Intelligence: ability to work with colleagues who have different ways of behaving and interactingResilience: ability to cope with setbacksAbility to work unsupervised and within a teamSelf-disciplined, motivated, energetic self-starter with an exemplary work ethosCapability to interact with both internal and external customers at all levelsAbility to maintain confidentialityAttention to detail with a methodical and structural approachResults focussed and professionalismAbility to multitaskAbility to follow established proceduresAbility to work under pressureProject a professional and competent image at all times when on dutyCustomer centricityQualificationsMatricNQF Level 4 electrical/technical qualificationMinimum 5 years’ electrical experience in a similar environment
