Together, we are building the next generation of European satellite propulsion technology.Your RoleAs an Avionics Engineer, you will take ownership of the electronics and software that bring our propulsion systems to life. You will design, program, and test the hardware and embedded software responsible for valve actuation, ignition control, telemetry, and system health management both for test stands and for flight.You’ll work closely with propulsion, system, and mechanical engineers to develop robust, space-ready avionics that interface directly with our thrusters.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop PCB hardware for propulsion control and data acquisitionWrite embedded software for real-time control, sequencing, and telemetryImplement communication protocolsIntegrate and calibrate sensors (pressure, temperature, flow, thrust) and actuators (valves, igniters)Develop control algorithms and fault detection logic for autonomous operationBuild hardware-in-the-loop setups and perform system-level testsSupport EMC, environmental, and space qualification testingCollaborate with the team to define electrical and software interfaces across the systemQualificationsDegree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or similar field2+ years of experience in embedded systems development (professional or research)Experience with schematic capture and PCB layoutSolid understanding of analog/digital electronics and sensor interfacingFamiliarity with control systems, timing, and state machinesStrong debugging and testing skillsFluent in English (German is a plus)Nice to HaveBackground in aerospace, automotive, or high-reliability systemsKnowledge of space standards (ECSS, DO-160, MIL-STD-461, etc.)Experience with data logging, telemetry, and ground softwareFamiliarity with propulsion or fluid-control electronicsWhat We OfferThe opportunity to design real flight hardware and software from scratchWork in a highly dynamic, mission-driven start-up environmentHands-on involvement in testing, integration, and launch preparationFlat hierarchies, fast decision-making, and genuine ownershipOffice and lab in Lucerne (Technopark Root D4), SwitzerlandIf you’re passionate about space technology, love working across hardware and software, and want to see your code and electronics fly — we’d love to hear from you.
