We’re hiring our first Demand Planner to build and own the demand planning function at Elwood. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that sits at the intersection of planning, inventory, merchandising, and operations. You’ll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and inform buying decisions that drive business growth. This is a unique opportunity to shape and scale the demand planning function from the ground up — with tons of room for growth as the company continues to scale.
This role is required to be in the office Monday through Thursday, at our downtown Los Angeles headquarters. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and maintain demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales, inventory performance, marketing inputs, and new product launchesOwn pre-season and in-season planning to ensure the right product is available at the right time across channelsPartner with marketing and operations teams to inform buys, track performance, and identify risks and opportunitiesDevelop reporting dashboards to monitor key metrics like sell-through, stock coverage, and forecast accuracyRecommend inventory replenishments and ensure alignment with cash flow and margin targetsWork with our 3PL and internal teams to manage inbound inventory timelines and allocationsDrive process improvements and support system/tool implementations as the business evolvesQUALIFICATIONS3–6 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or merchandise planning — ideally in a DTC or apparel environmentStrong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with Looker, SQL, or planning tools is a plusClear, concise communicator who can translate data into actionable insightsA self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and is excited to build something from scratchHighly collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionallyPassion for consumer products, fashion, or retail is a big plusBENEFITSFully covered healthcare, dental, and vision benefitsGenerous employee discountHybrid work environment — work from home every FridayOpportunity to grow with a fast-paced, mission-driven teamThis job description outlines the primary responsibilities of the role but is not an exhaustive list of all duties that may be required.
