The Program Manager will be responsible for applying effective governance and program management practices to a new program.
The program aims to drive a number of key initiatives in support of its critical Net Zero Carbon Strategy. Are you intrigued? Do you want to learn more?A snapshot of your key responsibilities as Program Manager would be: Apply structure and governance to a number of in-flight initiatives which are to be captured under the newly established unified program. Plan and initiate further projects or workstreams to meet the overall objective including definition of scope, budget, and schedule. Develop a detailed overall Program Plan which will consolidate all workstreams under a single, unified program.
Proactively identify and document all key dependencies and prerequisites, mitigation of risks as well as issue tracking and reporting. Work closely with teams to ensure effective prioritisation and management of work across all projects and workstreams. Facilitate and lead recurring and ad hoc team and stakeholder meetings to communicate programme status, priorities, risks, and decisions. Management of programme budget, forecasting, reconciliation, and reporting on actuals, PO, and invoice management. Responsible for all programme communications to project teams, project sponsors, steering, and relevant stakeholders. Requirements: A minimum of 7-10 years experience in a PMO/programme management role.
Project management qualification such as Prince 2 or PMP is desirable. Proven experience in delivery of multi-year programmes in a regulated environment. Demonstrated ability to lead/manage cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Structured with excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to set own high standards of performance and deliver on desired results. Detail-oriented with a proven track record of achieving key results. Strong decision-making capabilities based on excellent technical or functional understanding. Compelling communicator with the ability to influence and motivate others.
