Embedded Software Engineer (C++)

At ALTEN Sweden, we are looking for Embedded Software Engineers who are eager to take on new challenges and grow within the telecom industry. In this role, you will join a skilled development team working on advanced control and logic software for radio base stations – software that powers next-generation communication systems.As an embedded developer, you will work close to hardware and the system level, primarily in C++, while also leveraging Java, Python, and scripting languages when needed. Your work will span a wide range of tasks, from improving existing functionality to prototyping new solutions and developing proofs-of-concept.We are looking for developers who are naturally curious, fast learners, and able to quickly dive into new codebases and problem areas. You enjoy tackling complex technical challenges, collaborating effectively within a team, and taking ownership of your work. At ALTEN, we place great value on personal initiative, creativity, and problem-solving skills.Key qualifications:· Strong proficiency in C++ for embedded or system-level development· Experience with Java, Python, and scripting languages is a plus· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field· 3+ years of professional experience in embedded software development· Solid knowledge of software design and system architecture· Fluent in English, spoken and written (Swedish is a plus)· Strong interest in embedded systems, telecom, and complex technical environmentsPreferred qualifications:· Previous experience in the telecom industry· Knowledge of real-time systems and/or embedded Linux· Experience in prototyping and proof-of-concept development· Familiarity with networking protocols or radio technologyALTEN: ALTEN is one of Europe’s largest technology and IT consulting companies, with over 57,000 employees across approximately 30 countries.
