Would you like to work with such a team?Role OverviewWe are looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer to write low-level code for controlling LED displays in our innovative lighting products. This role requires a strong aesthetic sense to implement delightful lighting effects and expertise in embedded systems development. Electrical engineering skills are a huge plus. The position is based on-site in Tokyo, Japan.Key ResponsibilitiesWrite low-level code to control LED displays for advanced lighting productsResearch and implement aesthetic lighting effects to enhance product appealCollaborate with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, and product) to ensure seamless product developmentCreate detailed design documentation and maintain clear project recordsLead prototype development, bring-up, and validation of embedded systemsInnovate solutions to optimize cost, size, efficiency, safety, and reliabilityMinimum QualificationsProven experience in embedded systems engineeringStrong programming skills C and C++ for embedded systemsExperience with microcontroller and microprocessor-based systemsDemonstrated innovative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skillsStrong aesthetic sense for product designAbility to manage projects from prototyping to mass productionBusiness-level proficiency in EnglishPreferred QualificationsExperience with LED display driver developmentKnowledge of communication protocols for LED displays (e.g., SPI, I2C, DMX)Electrical engineering skillsExperience with CAD mechanical design toolsBusiness-level proficiency in JapaneseWhy join usWork with hyper-passionate leaders and team members to make reality more funMake a direct impact on scaling a growing organization with speed and efficiencyFlexible hybrid on-site & remote working arrangement
