Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working with a global company in the life sciences and healthcare sector, currently seeking a Lean Specialist to join its Budapest-based Finance team. The organization operates over 40 legal entities across the EMEA region and is focused on driving efficiency and operational excellence within its controllership function. Responsibilities of the Lean Specialist:

Lead cross-functional initiatives to identify and implement improvements in Finance operations, specifically within accounts payable, payroll, VAT compliance, and fixed asset accounting, ensuring alignment with global process standardsCollaborate closely with regional and global teams across Finance, IT, Procurement, HR, and Tax to optimize Finance workflows and enhance service delivery across multiple jurisdictionsUtilize lean methodology to drive end-to-end improvement projects, including preparing business cases, engaging stakeholders, and overseeing successful implementation across the EMEA regionMonitor the impact of global processes on regional Finance operations, proactively identifying risks and areas for automation and digitization in high-transaction environmentsFacilitate effective project execution by leading teams without formal authority, using influence and collaboration to deliver results across departments and geographiesCandidate requirements:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field - master’s degree and Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification are preferredMinimum 3-5 years of experience leading process improvement initiatives using lean methodology within a multinational, preferably in a high-volume or healthcare-related environmentStrong knowledge of Finance systems and tools such as SAP, Power BI, and Blackline, with a tech-savvy mindset to identify automation opportunitiesProven ability to work across functions and regions with excellent social and stakeholder management skills, and a collaborative, adaptable working styleStrong analytical and time management skills with a risk-based approach to decision-making, and fluency in English (additional European languages are a plus)Benefits:
