Job Purpose: To support the operations supervisor in overseeing and managing the day-to-day activities of the catering operations in order to ensure smooth and efficient operations while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting customer requirements. Job Context: The jobholder is responsible in ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, Company policies and industry standards. They should also assist in maintaining accurate records and generating reports related to operational activities, such as production volumes, inventory levels, quality control checks and performance metrics. Key Result Areas:
Drive alignment between production, quality, planning, and logistics teams to ensure production KPIs, shift targets and departmental SLAs are met consistentlySupervise adherence to food safety, hygiene, and HSE standards across shifts, conduct line checks, and implement corrective actions where neededIdentify bottlenecks and implement lean practices to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and enhance line efficiency. Provide on-the-job training and coaching to junior staff, facilitating cross-training and ensuring team readiness for dynamic operational needs. Compile and validate daily, weekly and monthly operational reports (e. g. , production output, wastage, downtime, manpower utilization) to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Execute shift-based quality checks (temperature, portioning, presentation), and document results for traceability. Lead immediate root cause analysis on shift-level quality deviations and implement corrective/preventive actions in coordination with QATrain line staff on common defects, food safety risks and quality standards, promoting a culture of accountability. Education Qualification: Diploma or equivalent qualification (Must have) Work Experience: Years of Experience: 3 yearsArea of Experience: Flight Operations, Food Packing or Logistics function preferably in the Airline Catering Industry and/or Food Industry2 years of experience in a team leader capacity (preferred)Skills: Strong knowledge and understanding of operations, e. g. : resource allocation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and other stakeholders. Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and provide guidance. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively. Effective time management and prioritization skills to ensure smooth operations within tight deadlines.
