Since 1986, the North Rhine-Westphalia Foundation has been supporting non-profit organizations, associations and initiatives that are committed to nature conservation and the preservation of local heritage and culture in NRW. To date, it has supported more than 3,800 measures throughout the state. Since 1988, there has also been the NRW-Stiftung association, which supports the foundation's work both ideally and financially. The majority of the more than 9,000 members are individuals and families. Numerous companies, associations, cities, districts and municipalities in NRW also belong to the association.The NRW-Stiftung is looking for the Communication and Engagement department in Düsseldorfby April 1, 2026 at the latestan employee (m/f/d) for the Communications Department.The full-time position, which is expected to run until December 31, 2027 due to parental leavewill be remunerated according to pay group 10 of the TV-L.We offer you a creative and varied working environment in a performance-oriented team that organizes state-wide communication, advertising, marketing and fundraising activities for the NRW Foundation and the Förderverein. We are looking for a personality who strongly identifies with the charitable goals of the NRW Foundation and communicates our topics and content with enthusiasm, creativity and professionalism.Your Tasks Will Include Writing press releases, press articles and other texts; Preparing, accompanying and following up on media appointments, press conferences and interviews with the Executive Board and management; Researching topics and creating topic plans for our social media channels Creating posts (text and images) for Facebook and Instagram Collaboration in the conception, organization and implementation of the episodes of our podcast "Förderbande"; Project management of public and press relations measures; Collaboration in the coordination and organization of events with cooperation partners; Preparation, research and creation of presentations, speech templates and speech notes; Collaboration in the creation of publications incl. image editing; Support in establishing and maintaining contacts with all institutions and media relevant to the external presentation of the NRW-Stiftung and the Förderverein. Our Requirements For You A successfully completed subject-related degree in the humanities, social sciences, political science, communication or media studies, journalism or a comparable field of study or many years of comparable professional experience in public relations; Relevant experience in communications, e.g. as a press officer or editor for social media, ideally in the foundation or third sector. A completed traineeship is desirable; a pronounced affinity for a targeted approach via social media; sound experience in the creation and editing of texts, audiovisual content and cross-media communication; a team-oriented personality and an open and engaging manner; very good verbal and written communication skills and creativity; Enthusiasm, commitment, flexibility and ability to work under pressure; Organizational talent and an independent, proactive, reliable way of working; great interest in cultural and nature topics, voluntary commitment and identification with the goals of the NRW-Stiftung; Class B driving license.
