Our client, a global broadcast media and entertainment company, is actively looking for an Employee Relations Manager to join their team in Los Angeles, CA! This role is fully onsite so local candidates are required.***This is a 6 month contract with the opportunity to extend or convert based on performance and business needs***This Employee Relations Manager will conduct thorough, timely, and impartial investigations into team member concerns! This person will also help maintain a fair, respectful, and compliant workplace by resolving issues effectively and promoting trust.ResponsibilitiesConduct fair, thorough, and timely investigations, including interviews, fact-finding, and documentationPrepare clear reports and recommend appropriate actions to support consistent and equitable outcomesDevelop and maintain standardized processes for investigations, documentation, and case trackingManage assigned casework independently, ensuring timely and effective resolutionAnalyze investigation data to identify trends and recommend proactive interventionsPartner with HR and business leaders to review and enhance policies and practices that foster a positive and inclusive work environmentPartner cross-functionally with Legal and Labor Relations to ensure investigations, recommendations, and outcomes align with company policy and employment lawProvide coaching and training on HR policies, employee relations best practices, and respectful workplace expectationsUse sound judgment and discretion when advising leaders and HR partners on complex or sensitive employee relations mattersRequired Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and compliance requirements.Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.Minimum 3 years of experience conducting complex workplace investigations and partnering with legal counsel as needed.Experience supporting large or high-volume workforces.Strong facilitation, influencing, and conflict-resolution skills.Comfortable shifting between strategic planning and hands-on execution as needed.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HR or case management systems.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in HR Management, Labor Relations, or related fieldExperience in union/represented environments and in industries such as retail, hospitality, or entertainment
