We are searching for an experienced EMPLOYEE RELATIONS SPECIALIST at our DHA HUMAN RESOURCES facility.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Job Summary:The Employee Relations Specialist at The Doctors Hospital Health System (DHHS) plays a key role in fostering a positive, compliant, and productive work environment by supporting the Employee Relations agenda. This role ensures the fair and consistent application of company policies and employment laws, helping to mitigate risk to the organization while supporting respectful employee engagement.The incumbent will assist the Employee Relations Manager in managing employee relations issues, advising People Managers, and escalating complex or high-risk cases to the Employee Relations Manager or Legal Department when necessary.Duties & Responsibilities:Employee Relations Case Management:Investigate and resolve employee relations issues such as grievances, disciplinary actions, misconduct, attendance concerns, and performance improvement plans (PIPs).Employee Terminations:Manage employee terminations related to performance or misconduct.Seek guidance from the Employee Relations Manager, SVP of HR, or Legal Department for complex cases.Restructuring and Redundancies:Support the Employee Relations Manager and Legal Department during organizational restructures or resource reallocations requiring employee relations assessments.Conflict Resolution:Mediate and facilitate discussions between employees and managers to resolve disputes and foster constructive working relationships.Policy Guidance:Provide advice and guidance to managers on HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent and lawful application.Training and Development:Collaborate with the Organizational Development team to design and deliver training programs for People Managers on topics such as conflict resolution, grievance handling, terminations, and policy compliance.Policy Development:Contribute to the creation and ongoing review of HR policies and procedures related to employee relations.Reporting and Analysis:Monitor and analyze employee relations data to identify trends and areas for improvement.Key Skills and Attributes:High emotional intelligenceDiplomacy and professionalismMediation and conflict resolution skillsClear and precise communicatorMethodical and risk-awareStrong team playerHighly organizedRequired Qualifications:Qualifications and Experience:Education: Bachelorâs degree in Law (preferred) or a related field, or equivalent professional training.Experience: Minimum 1â2 years in a similar employee relations or HR role.Knowledge:Strong understanding of Bahamian Employment Law, HR policies, and employee relations best practices.Experience in managing low- to medium-complexity cases, conducting investigations, and writing detailed, compliant reports.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and diplomacy skills.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and conflict-resolution capabilities.Coaching: Ability to provide effective guidance to People Managers on employee relations matters.Attention to Detail: High accuracy in documentation and data management.Organization: Strong time management and the ability to handle multiple cases concurrently.Technology: Proficient in HR systems and software for tracking cases and generating reports.Regular EmployeeAnnual Salary0.00 - 0.00
