You’ll help clients navigate complex employment-related tax issues and drive strategic outcomes for organisations managing their people and reward frameworks.You’ll collaborate across PwC’s national Tax & Enterprise network, including corporate, international, indirect, transaction and employee share scheme tax specialists, to deliver integrated client solutions. What you’ll doEmployment tax expertise: Lead tax compliance and tax advisory engagements covering PAYE, FBT, ESS reporting and all the tax aspects of remuneration.International workforce tax support: provide relevant support in relation to international workforce taxation matters that arise.ESS tax expertise: Lead ESS structuring and tax advisory engagements.Transaction advisory: Support colleagues on the employment and ESS tax related aspects of deal transactions.Executive remuneration: It would be advantageous if you are able to advise on / have experience with broader remuneration related matters including executive reward frameworks, incentive plans, and remuneration governance.Client leadership: Act as a trusted senior advisor to a wide range of clients – from large corporates and multinationals to private businesses and public sector organisations.Strategy and market contribution: Shape the direction of the Tax & Enterprise team, contribute to PwC’s market approach, and identify and pursue new opportunities to continue to grow the PwC Employment Tax market offering.Leadership and team development: Mentor and inspire a team of talented professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.Risk management: Identify and mitigate tax-related risks for clients and the firm, ensuring compliance with PwC’s standards and policies.Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience10+ years’ experience in tax advisory, with a strong focus on employment tax, ESS tax advisory and, preferably, some executive remuneration experience. Some level of NZ experience is essential.Experience contributing to employment and ESS tax input on corporate transactions or restructures is an advantage.A track record in market growth would be an advantage.CA (or equivalent) qualification desirable.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to manage complex projects and client portfolios.Ability to engage with clients at all levels on complex issues.
