The company currently has several major Data Centre builds underway across Europe, totaling over 500 MW of IT load capacity. They are now looking to hire a skilled and experienced Mechanical Lead to join their on-site project team in Helsinki, Finland.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and lead a team of mechanical engineers on siteRecommend design modifications to enhance cost-effectiveness, construction efficiency, and overall qualityMaintain a strong commercial awareness throughout project executionSupervise construction works to ensure high standards of materials and workmanshipCollaborate closely with the contracts manager, site engineers, and other project leads to provide subcontractors with timely and accurate technical informationReview technical drawings and specifications, and flag discrepancies to the design team promptlyDefine project staffing needs and provide leadership and motivation to the mechanical teamEnsure adherence to top-tier health and safety standards across all activitiesCandidate ProfileDemonstrated ability to lead MEP teams on complex construction projectsPrior hands-on experience with mechanical systems in data centre environmentsStrong organizational skills with a solid grasp of project planning, sequencing, and schedulingExcellent communication abilities, capable of liaising effectively with multiple stakeholdersIn-depth understanding of procurement processes within large-scale engineering projectsDegree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related fieldCommitted to delivering projects with a high standard of safety, quality, and efficiencyWhat’s on OfferJoin a leading company delivering high-profile data centre projects across EuropeAttractive and competitive salary packageA collaborative and supportive work environmentOpportunities for professional development and career progressionFlexible work arrangements, including the option for rotational shifts
