Energy Business Unit Leader

Role PurposeDevelop and Lead Energy BU, focusing on Energy, Oil & Gas, Utilities, and Mining , Renewable and power solutions sectors. Drive growth through project execution and technical partnerships to expand the product portfolio. Ensure BU profitability, customer satisfaction, and alignment with SMI’s broader group strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & GrowthDefine and execute the Energy BU strategy.Lead the development of alliances and technical partnerships to expand product offerings and market access, with a focus on Saudi ArabiaBuild an annual business plan and budget, including Capex requirements that need to be allocated based on the group budgetE execution of the initiatives, with the collaboration of the Strategy and transformation office, to deliver the expected resultsCommercial & CustomerOversee the sales and business development team in securing new projects and framework agreementsIdentify, negotiate, and execute strategic partnership opportunitiesFocus on scaling product revenues into existing customers and new ones.Develop and own key customer relationships to drive product portfolio expansion in the sectorOperationsDrive knowledge and technology transfer into Energy BUOversee capacity planning and inventory managementDrive cost optimization initiatives across the supply chain, in collaboration with the procurement and supply chain team, to ensure market competitiveness Governance & ReportingFull accountability for BU P&LReport performance to Group the group CEO.Drive performance management implementation at BUs, including target setting, KPIs deployment and meeting structure Qualifications & Experience12+ years in Energy, Oil & Gas, Utilities, or Mining sectors with project and solution exposureTrack record of P&L leadership and business developmentExperience in O&G components or related industrial equipment is highly preferredKnowledge of regional (GCC) and international energy marketsArabic a plus; English fluency required
