NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EIB funded project called: Feasibility of Heat Pump Integration in District Heating Systems in Norrbotten County, Sweden and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.The overall objective of this assignment is for a consultant to support North Sweden Regional Energy Agency and municipalities of Arvidsjaur and Jokkmokk in modernizing and decarbonizing their DHS. The study will also provide recommendations for replicability in other municipalities.Location: Sweden.Duration: The intended start date is January 2026 and the services shall be provided for a period of 10 months from this date.Key Expert: Energy expert (Cat. II)☝️ Qualifications and skills:At least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, energy engineering, or related field (minimum requirement).Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is considered an asset.Fluency in written and spoken English is required (CEFR C1) (minimum requirement).Fluency in written and spoken Swedish would be an asset.Excellent communication skills.Computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams).☝️ General professional experience:Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in the energy sector (minimum requirement).☝️ Specific professional experience:At least 7 years of advisory or delivery experience as Project Manager or Team Leader on energy infrastructure project preparation proven by minimum 5 projects (minimum requirement).At least 5 years of experience in DH related deployment projects as Project Manager or Team Leader proven by at least 2 projects (minimum requirement).At least 5 years of experience in evaluating and designing district heating systems, including integration of multiple heat sources (e.g., heat pumps, biomass, thermal storage) proven by at least 3 projects (minimum requirement).Experience in the preparation or implementation of industrial-scale heat pump deployment projects is considered an asset.Relevant professional experience across multiple EU countries is considered an asset.Relevant professional experience in Sweden is considered an asset.Experience with energy infrastructure projects financed by the EU, EIB, EBRD, or other international financial institutions (IFIs) is considered an asset.If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply and upload your CV via LinkedIn or sent to recruitment@ntu.eu.
