This position will focus on supporting our Chemical and Mechanical Engineers in Research, Experiments, Testing and Lab Maintenance. You will regularly perform component assembly and chemical testing in addition to standard laboratory tasks and maintenance in an R&D lab space. You will work closely with a team of engineers and scientists and be involved in the ordering and preparing of materials and equipment for experiments and assisting in data collection.
The ideal candidate works well in a team, follows detailed instructions carefully and safely, and stops to ask questions when anything is unclear. Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities. Assisting research, engineering, and assembly teams with experimental setup and data collectionSafely operating and maintaining pumps, vacuums, air compressors and other lab equipment. Safely perform acid/base chemistry by following SOPs. Recording data into a lab notebook and/or Microsoft ofļ¬ce applications. Updating laboratory inventoriesClearly communicating methods used and tasks accomplished. Observing and learning how to practice safe lab practices in an R&D environment. Qualifications And Experience.
Qualiļ¬ed candidates will possess a strong combination of the following:
