About BrucejackOur Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us.

We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community. You’ll stay in private rooms with individual washrooms, enjoy balanced meals prepared by our exceptional culinary team, and have access to a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar. Your ImpactAs aHeavy Duty Mechanic Lead Handat our Brucejack Camp, you’ll play a key role in maintaining critical mobile equipment while supporting and guiding maintenance technicians on-site.

Your technical expertise and leadership will help ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of our fleet in an underground mining environment.

As Part of Our Team You WillLead the maintenance crew in the supervisor’s absenceOversee technicians, welders, and labourers in mobile maintenanceProvide hands-on diagnostics and repair of diesel and gasoline-powered heavy equipmentPerform inspections, testing, and adjustments to meet manufacturer specsAssist with equipment data entry, record keeping, and routine maintenance schedulingSupport compliance with safety and environmental policiesParticipate in on-site mechanical support and collaborate with operational teamsPrerequisites for Your Success in This RoleInterprovincial Red Seal Certification for Heavy Duty Equipment Technician5 years’ experience maintaining diesel/gasoline mobile and stationary equipment, ideally in miningStrong troubleshooting and operating skills on site equipmentExperience with underground mobile equipment and/or snow cat maintenance is an assetProficiency with SAP and equipment data systemsValid Class 5 driver’s licenseWHMIS and TDG certificationPrevious leadership experience is an assetYour Work EnvironmentLocation:

We are now recruiting for the position of Heavy Duty Mechanic Lead Hand. The expected salary range for this role is CA$64. 73 hourly . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
