As a Junior/Mid Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in the development of our product, contributing to the forecasting of solar/wind power generation, energy consumption, and electricity prices, as well as the creation of efficient energy trading algorithms. This position requires strong analytical skills, mathematical intuition, and the ability to communicate data-driven insights clearly. If you like to dig deep, we might be a great match!Key Responsibilities: Collect, clean, and validate data from various internal and external sources. Execute data analysis projects to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Apply statistical methods and machine learning to analyse data and develop forecasting models for electricity markets. Implement automation and optimization tasks to streamline recurring analyses. Reporting and visualization: Create reports and visualizations to effectively communicate data insights. Collaboration: Work closely with teams from different fields to understand their data-related needs and goals. Technical Requirements: Proven competence coding in Python and using statistical learning/optimization libraries like scipy, statsmodels, xgboost, pytorch, pyomo, kedro. Knowledge of statistics, experience with statistical, or mathematical analysis methods, and machine learning, particularly timeseries forecasting, linear programming or reinforcement learning.
Experience in the energy sector or algorithmic trading, practical knowledge of stochastic optimization techniques, hands-on experience with Azure ML is a significant advantage. Qualifications: A higher education degree in data science, statistics, physics, mathematics, computer science, operations research or a related field, or a relevant certification demonstrating equivalent qualifications.
