Role SummaryAs a future Chief Technology Officer, you will be expected to lead technology vision, strategy, and execution — partnering closely with product, commercial, and operational stakeholders to drive business outcomes through innovation and technical excellence. This is a hybrid position, typically offering flexible remote work combined with in-region collaboration depending on the employer. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the long-term technology strategy in alignment with the company’s vision and commercial objectives. Build, mentor, and scale high-performing, cross-functional engineering and product teams. Lead architecture decisions, platform evolution, and technology roadmaps to support scalability, security, and performance.
Represent technology in the C-suite and/or board meetings, contributing to overall business strategy and governance. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure best practices in software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and compliance are followed. Oversee vendor relationships, tech budgeting, and tooling strategy. Engage with investors and strategic partners as a trusted technology leader when required. What We Look ForPrevious experience in a CTO, VP of Engineering, or equivalent senior technical leadership role. Proven ability to lead technical teams in high-growth, fast-paced environments. Strong hands-on understanding of modern software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and agile development methodologies.
Track record of successful product delivery and technology transformation. Executive presence, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills. Ideally based in a Nordic country or open to relocation; fluent in English (Nordic languages are a plus). Experience in a startup, scale-up, or innovative enterprise environment.
