Job Description

MEP - Site (ELV) - EngineerROLE SUMMARY To supervise and execute ELV system installation work at the project site including CCTV, fire alarm, public address, access control, and data networking systems. The role involves managing skilled manpower, ensuring adherence to drawings, quality, and safety standards, and coordinating with engineers and vendors to support testing, commissioning, and system integration.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIESSupervise the installation of ELV systems including fire alarm, CCTV, access control, public address, and structured cabling systems as per project specifications and approved drawings.Interpret system layouts, wiring diagrams, and installation guidelines and ensure correct implementation of the site.Ensure correct use of tools and installation materials and report material shortages or issues to the site engineer.Conduct pre-checks and support engineers and OEMs during testing and commissioning of ELV systems.Support closing snags and preparing systems for inspections, demonstrations, and client handovers.Ensure adherence to safety protocols, proper PPE use, and clean work practices at all times.KEY INTERACTIONSInternal StakeholderFor technical direction, work sequencing, and progress updatesFor compliance, inspection readiness, and resource trackingFor material availability and issue trackingExternal StakeholderFor system installation support and commissioningFor manpower deployment and task executionFor inspections and functional reviewsKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEMinimum Qualifications: B.E / Diploma in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation EngineeringLanguage Skills: Basic English; local language proficiency preferred for site coordinationEXPERIENCEYears of Experience: 12–15 yearsNature of Experience: Experience in site-level supervision of ELV system installations in commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects, including coordination with multiple disciplines, testing support, and adherence to safety and quality standards.Technical SkillsELV system installation, CCTV, fire alarm, public address, access control, structured cabling, cable termination, reading of wiring and schematic diagrams, coordination drawings, basic testing support, tool usage, material handling, quality standards, safety complianceLeadership / Behavioural skillsTeam supervision, task allocation, discipline, communication, accountability, time management, attention to detail, safety awareness, problem solving, adaptability, result orientation
