Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Engineer - Fire and Life Safety to join our team in Duba, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining fire protection and life safety systems for various projects in the region. Design and review fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and emergency evacuation plans Conduct risk assessments and fire hazard analyses for new and existing buildings Ensure compliance with local and international fire and life safety codes and regulations, with a focus on Saudi Arabian building codes Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and reports Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate fire and life safety systems into overall building designs Perform site inspections to verify proper installation and operation of fire protection systems Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and team members on fire and life safety matters Stay current with evolving fire protection technologies, codes, and industry best practices Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 10 years of experience in fire protection engineering Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software for system design and documentation Experience with fire modeling software and risk assessment techniques Strong knowledge of fire and life safety codes, including NFPA standards and IBC Familiarity with Saudi Arabian building codes and fire safety regulations Excellent technical report writing and communication skills Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred NICET certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology is a plus Demonstrated experience with fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and emergency evacuation plans Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines Willingness to travel to project sites as needed Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
