Description:As an Engineer, you will be reporting to the Operations Manager and will support projects that span multiple disciplines within our organization in order to deliver high quality projects to our clients.You’ll apply your process engineering experience to develop treatment solutions, produce technical deliverables, and work closely with internal teams, vendors, and clients. Your background in water processes and your ability to collaborate will help ensure high-quality project outcomes.Responsibilities: Review client RFQ documents, manage mark-ups.Select appropriate treatment technologies based on process application and CWT design guidelines.Determine the inter-disciplinary work required for the project cost estimates.Generate BOMs, review and evaluate vendor quotations.Prepare project proposals and contract documents including technical package for the client submittal.Participate in the engineering /design /development at the earliest concept stages.Have a comprehensive understanding of water process and relevant client documentation requirements.Manage High-Spec Oil and Gas project documentation.Perform design calculations, Projections, and sizing for water treatment packages.Develop PFD, P&ID's, supervise drafting on equipment general arrangements based on CWT design/drafting guidelines.Manage 3rd party engineering services and regulatory requirements.Participate and represent CWT in client project meetings/design reviews and ensure that all issues are addressed.Review project controls, cost estimates and project BOMs.Manage multiple ongoing projects, keeping track of daily progress and associated costs, Maintain contact with client, vendors, and internal staff on a regular basis.Support project execution on projects as assigned by the Project Manager.Train and mentor Jr. Engineers and technical staff.Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent is required.Professional designation (P.Eng., EIT, CET, PMP) is an asset.Excellent written and verbal communication ability.Organized, systematic with a strong aptitude for performing detailed tasks.Have a strong leadership ability with the skills to lead and be a part of a team. Outstanding interpersonal skills.Must be legally able to work in Canada and hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable abstract.What We’re Looking For:Experience developing scopes, budgets, and schedules for engineering work.Ability to adapt to changing project needs with sound judgment and problem-solving skills.Experience handling conflicts and reaching resolutions professionally.Proven ability to manage multiple technical projects with attention to detail.Experience in oil and gas, mining, health care, construction, or hydrogeology is an asset.Technical background in planning, design, and construction of water and/or wastewater infrastructure in a related discipline preferred.Industry experience in oil and gas, health care, mining, construction, and hydrogeology is an asset.Working ConditionsSome heavy lifting as required.Short term travel (typically up to one week) to job sites is a condition of hire (Western Canada) and will occur on an as needed basis.Alcohol and drug testing is required on some sites and is a condition of hire. Drivers Abstract is required, and confirmation of insurability required.
