This role will contribute to the development and delivery of the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP).The CQ Region covers an area of about 604,824km2, approximately 34.9% of Queensland. Its landscape ranges from beautiful coastal areas adjoining the Great Barrier Reef and rainforests to the rugged outback with breathtaking rock formations. The region has an estimated residential population of 422,141 people.The Central Queensland Region offers a relaxed lifestyle with an abundance of spectacular and unique tourist attractions, including the beautiful Southern Great Barrier Reef (fishing, swimming and snorkelling), magnificent beaches, pristine national parks and rainforest's, the bustle of mining, agricultural, cattle and sheep producing towns across Central Queensland.Benefits Annual Registered Professional Engineers Queensland (RPEQ) compensation payment of $8,200 Annual reimbursement of professional fees Annual health & wellbeing reimbursement of $109.40 4 weeks annual leave + 17.5% annual leave loading Locality allowance of up to $185 per fortnight Corporate discounts from a range of leading private health companies Further learning and development support available through the Study and Research Assistance Scheme (SARAS) Relocation assistanceThe RoleIn the role of Engineer (Civil) with supervision and guidance from senior engineering staff, you will be responsible for the delivery of transport infrastructure planning projects in accordance with TMR's OnQ Project Management Framework either directly or through the administration of contracts and management of consultants.You will provide support and advice through the project lifecycle of design, construction, and maintenance activities. You will also provide support and advice to the Corridor Management team on infrastructure planning matters.Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include Produce Project Planning deliverables such as Road Link Plans, Options Analyses, Business Cases and other planning studies following standard department templates and in accordance with TMR's OnQ Project Management Framework. Administer engineering consultant contracts under the Infrastructure Building and Construction Panel (IBCP) and Consultants for Engineering Projects (CFEP) schemes for the delivery of planning projects in accordance with TMR's standards, policies, and guidelines. Proactively manage the resource requirements associated with the delivery of planning projects including procurement, financial reporting, and contractor reviews whilst demonstrating a high standard of professionalism and ethics. Manage under supervision, projects or elements of projects and undertake monthly project activities including financial forecasting, accruals and project performance reporting using TMR's project management system 3PCM. Provide support and advice through the planning, design, and construction processes, to ensure delivery of project scope, value for money and best practice are achieved.Mandatory Qualifications And Conditions A four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalence which is assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.
