As an offshore engineer, you'll lead one of our global renewable energy projects from start to finish, even as a recent graduate.Do you have several years of experience as an engineer? To achieve these goals, we need talented offshore project engineers like you.Your RoleOpportunities and responsibilityAt Jan De Nul, we give talents like you opportunities and responsibility. You will follow one of our projects from start to finish, from our office in Aalst, at one of our projects worldwide or on board one of our vessels.You are responsible for scheduling, drafting, further detailing and calculating execution methods to prepare our offshore works (rock dumping, cable laying, foundations and installation of offshore wind farms).You work up the relating documentation into calculation notes and method statements.You supervise the current works and you will be responsible for follow-up after completion of the works in collaboration with the Project Management.Obviously, you don't have to do all of this alone. You can rely on the support of both your peers and experienced colleagues. You'll learn on the job and acquire knowledge and skills through our JDN Academy. Your project manager will support you every step of the way, and you’ll collaborate with nearly every department.Ready to go abroad?Depending on the phase of your project and your progress, you will work either at our office in Aalst or on one of our projects worldwide. In the preparational phase of the project, you work from this office in Aalst, working a 40-hour week with occasional opportunities for remote work. During the execution phase, you will likely travel abroad frequently, potentially following an expat schedule: 6 weeks on board, 6 weeks at home.What do you need?A master's degree in industrial or civil engineering sciences or related degree.That indispensable mindset of a solution seeker, a problem solver.
