Engineer IT VDI and Windows Systems

Task Responsibilities:Maintaining and monitoring application servers and infrastructure in the cloudResponsible of 2nd and 3rd level support for various IT services and follow the guidelines defined by the technology and Cybersecurity departmentThis will include the day-to-day operations but also the patching for the vulnerability managementDeploy, configure and support applications and systems for customers. Including but not limited to:Test, support and release documentationDeployment of the applicationsApplication updates and supervisionCommunicationsInvolved into preparation of environments for customers from project phase to go live with post go live supportManagement of Citrix Virtual Desktop environment would be a strong assetDay to day operations in Microsoft365 admin environmentEnsure 24/7 support of business-critical system by integrating the on call escalation team on a rotation scheme for Cargolux and for customersEssential Requirements For The Position:Bachelor's degree or equivalentAdvanced knowledge of Windows Server from 2016 to 2025 is requiredConcepts of On-prem Active Directory and Azure Entra ID should be well understoodPractice in container management for user profiles is considered as a plusPowerShell scripting skills are welcome for automation, large scale support and efficient implementationsGood knowledge of Microsoft 365 products (To support 1st level support teams in case of complex problem) is appreciatedExtensive expertise in Citrix XenApp 7 and VDA 1912 LTSR and later through Citrix DAAS is a strong assetAbility to work collaboratively with the engineering teams to drive architectural changes and improve stability of environmentsMotivated, agile, good team spirit, strong communications skills and good contact with peopleFamiliar with ITIL processesFluency in English is mandatory (spoken & written); additional languages are an added valueExperience in leading end-to-end project lifecyclesWorking Conditions:Permanent full-time position based in LuxembourgWork from home is possible under specific conditionsThe candidate will work in a agile, friendly, young and dynamic teamNormal office hours are to be expected, with occasional work outside these hours to perform tasks (planned or unplanned) on the environmentThe position holder might have to be on stand-by outside the normal office hours and weekends in case of incidentsIt is expected that during critical incidents the candidate can commit to resolve the incident to the end if requiredValid driving license for carsA Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be requested in case of positive selection
