该职位来源于猎聘 JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a skilled Direct Material Sr. Buyer with experience in sourcing critical materials for lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing, including cathode, anode, separator, and electrolyte. This role is responsible for strategic supplier selection, price negotiation, contract management, and ensuring quality and supply continuity. The ideal candidate will bring deep supplier and commodity knowledge, supplier relationship management experience, and a proactive, data-driven approach. RESPONSIBILITIESSource and develop suppliers for key battery cell materials (cathode, anode, separator, electrolyte, binders, etc.).Evaluate suppliers on quality, technology, capacity, and cost structure.Maintain long-term strategic relationships with key material suppliers.Monitor supplier performance (PPV, delivery, quality, responsiveness) and lead supplier development/improvement plans.Drive cost competitiveness through negotiations, should-cost analysis, and market intelligence.Prepare and manage supply contracts aligned with commercial and legal terms.Work with R&D, Quality, and Production Engineering to ensure supplier alignment with technical specs and qualification timelines.Participate in trials and validation of new materials and new suppliers.Track global material market trends, raw material indices, and geopolitical risks.Develop risk mitigation plans for price volatility, capacity bottlenecks, and regulatory constraints.Ensure supplier compliance with IATF 16949, REACH, RoHS, and internal sustainability standards.Manage material approval documentation, SDS, and conflict minerals reporting. Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.MBAs preferredMore than10 years’ experience in direct material sourcing, preferably in lithium battery, chemicals, or advanced materials.Understanding of cathode/anode production technologies and supplier ecosystems in China.Required Skills:Strong analytical, negotiation, and cost modeling skills.Proficient in Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and procurement platforms.Excellent communication in Mandarin and English.
