Engineering Account Lead - Full Time - Remote

Location: Remote (LATAM) | Potential future office in BogotáJob Type: Full TimeOverview:The Senior Project Manager / Engineering Account Lead oversees multidisciplinary engineering teams and serves as the primary partner to our clients. This role combines project management excellence, technical leadership, and business development acumen to ensure operational quality, financial performance, and long-term client success.The ideal candidate will be both strategic and hands-on — managing client relationships, supervising cross-functional engineers, and driving projects to successful completion.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned engineering projects.Lead project intake and scoping, clarifying requirements, deliverables, timelines, standards, and regulatory parameters.Supervise multidisciplinary coordination, including civil, structural, MEP, and geotechnical teams.Translate client requirements into actionable internal work plans; assign and coordinate tasks across multidisciplinary teams.Oversee project execution, ensuring technical quality, compliance, and timely delivery.Conduct final quality reviews and approve deliverables prior to client submission.Maintain regular communication cadences with both clients and internal teams (weekly, monthly, or as needed).Drive onboarding and education for the engineering team to ensure full understanding of client standards, methodologies, and regulatory contexts.Identify and proactively manage risks, scope changes, and staffing needs across active projects.Support business growth by deepening relationships and identifying opportunities within client accounts.Lead planning, prioritization, and resource allocation across multiple projects simultaneously.Manage issue resolution and ensure timely escalation when required.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required).10+ years of experience in consulting engineering, with exposure to multiple disciplines such as water/wastewater, structural/bridge, or transmission line projects.Proven ability to manage client relationships and effectively communicate technical and business needs across diverse teams.Demonstrated success leading cross-level engineering teams (senior and junior) to deliver high-quality results.Experience scoping, estimating, scheduling, and managing deliverables according to project timelines and quality standards.Familiarity with U.S. engineering standards and regulatory environments is highly desirable.Fluency in English (spoken and written).Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience as a Project Manager or Account Manager.Exposure to business development, including upselling or proposal contributions.Background in multi-disciplinary A/E consulting firms serving public and private infrastructure clients.Why Join Us:Lead technically challenging projects with top-tier clients.Collaborate with a high-performing team across Latin America and North America.Work in a culture that values technical rigor, collaboration, and accountability.Payment in USDOpportunity to work with American projects About APERTURA:With a team of skilled analysts and researchers, APERTURA stands out as the premier bilingual research and financial analysis outsourcing company in Latin America.
