You can read more about the history of mySugr & Roche here.Here's what we're looking for:We are looking for an Engineering Manager of Quality Assurance with hands-on experience in software development and deep expertise in mobile UI test automation and backend test automation (Java). We need a pragmatic person who is eager to expand into new fields of products and services, as we are often pioneers in our field.mySugr / Roche currently has multiple products with a mobile app as its centerpiece. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring that quality assurance is embedded in the organization and the software development and release process.You will lead a team of QA Engineers. You champion Quality throughout the organization, drive decisions and advise on best practices and mentorship of the Quality Assurance department. You contribute to the evolution of Quality Assurance best practices while successfully releasing quality products to customers on a regular basis (bi-weekly).You enable team members to grow professionally and personally by guiding them and fostering a culture of servant leadership. Together with your peer leaders you will foster continuous improvement and open communication in an international environment of exponential growth and change.Essential skills for your mission:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalentAt least 7-8 years of professional experience in the field of quality engineering/assurance for software productsAt least 5 years of experience leading and managing an international and diverse team of multiple individualsExpert, practical experience in mobile UI and backend (Java) test automation Experience in software development according to the highest quality standards and applicable normsPractical experience in software testing and test automation for mobile and web applicationsAbility to jump in and get your hands dirty in testing the productsExperience working in agile environmentsExperience in optimizing existing processes, striving for pragmatic, effective, and efficient decisions, and you make the removal of blockers or impediments your top priorityPassion for feedback, open communication, continuous improvement, and you can translate this passion into actionable improvements of work environmentsExcellent written and verbal skills in English and excellent communication skills in generalYou are either an EU citizen or hold a valid Austrian work permitBonus skills:Experience with medical development and software lifecycle (IEC 62304)Experience how to handle process and product audits by external bodiesExperience in Load and Performance testingAI driven development / Agenting EngineeringExperience in working in a SAFe environmentExperience in the diabetes industry or other related healthcare disciplinesIn Austria, we have a legal obligation to disclose the minimum salary, which is a gross EUR 80.000 annually for this position.
