Job title: ENGINEERING COORDINATORLocation: Basra, IraqJob reference #: 31941Contract type: International (expatriate) assignment. Fixed-term, 28/28 rotational contract. You will be responsible for overseeing engineering activities and follow-up during the project execution phase. Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL). Main ResponsibilitiesFollow up on the contractor’s engineering activities for the ZM DGS Expansion Project. Ensure that all engineering aspects are addressed and correctly implemented during detailed design, construction, commissioning and start-up phases, in accordance with Company standards and engineering practices. Visit the site and coordinate with the EIBV/ZFOD team located in the Zubair field to gather technical information and align on all engineering-related issues across disciplines.

Review and support the approval of site deliverables (e. g. , procedures, method statements, risk assessments), as-built documentation and final dossiers issued by EPC contractors, including design changes due to site constraints and construction/commissioning technical queries. Contribute to the development of the Field Development Plan. Coordinate the project engineering team, including specialists in process, electrical, instrumentation, civil, piping/mechanical and technical safety. Support project execution through site surveys, specialized studies, data analysis reviews, incident report evaluations, witnessing of critical quality inspections and performance tests and project handover certifications.

Provide support to construction and commissioning teams in resolving complex technical problems and troubleshooting. Ensure planned engineering progress is maintained with respect to deliverables for tenders (as required) and awarded projects. Coordinate the preparation of engineering deliverables (drawings and documents), such as Process Flow Diagrams, P&ID diagrams, process datasheets, equipment specifications, cause & effect diagrams, control and shutdown philosophies, HAZOP studies and reports, civil and piping layouts and operation & maintenance manuals. Provide necessary engineering input to field engineering specialists and other departments. Support the preparation and issuance of RFQs, evaluation of vendor quotations, clarifications and technical bid analyses.

Review vendor documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications and calculations. Demonstrate personal commitment to HSE by adhering to the policies and standards of Eni and ZFOD. Conduct technical integrity reviews and HSE audits to ensure compliance and safety performance. Skills And Experience RequiredDegree in Mechanical or Petrochemical Engineering preferred. Extensive experience in oil and gas projects, petrochemical and power plant projects. Fluency in written and spoken English. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams in a challenging environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly explain and describe technical matters to local specialists.
